Join us for an introduction to the potters wheel. Students will learn the fundamental methods for creating forms using clay on the wheel. Wheel 101 is designed for people with very little to no experience on the wheel. Although basic glazing methods will be shown, the class will focus on helping the novice be able to move clay up to produce pottery on the wheel.

This class meets Thursday Nights 7-9:30pm on the following dates:

02/20- First Class intro and the cylinder. Centering and pulling focus.
02/27 - Tools, trimming, and cylinder review.
03/5 - Glazing and trimming review.
03/12 - Shaping the cylinder. Bowl, Vase, Bottle. Centering and pulling focus.
03/19 - Open forms: plates and lids. (last wet work day).
03/26- Last Class (finishing up all works in progress)
