Sign up for this Wednesday night class with Tama!

This class is beginner plus to intermediate and you must feel comfortable centering and pulling the walls.

The class will start with a number of handbuilding techniques over four weeks and then move into wheel throwing the final four weeks. You will also learn how to blend both methods together. You MUST have some experience on the wheel.

Your instructor will guide you through working with slabs and other handbuilding methods alongside wheel throwing demonstrations to create work that is truly unique and one of a kind! Some previous experience on the wheel is required to take this class, no handbuilding experience required.

We will send notification when it is time to purchase clay for the upcoming session. Please DO NOT purchase more than one bag of clay to start. Your clay will be at the studio on your first day of class. You can also purchase tool kits on the website. The best clay bodies for handbuilding are 798, 182G, 266G, 420 and 108. You can wait until you get to class to choose.

Each student will get up to two 2.5 hour time slots of open studio each week.
