LEATHER HARD: MY QUEER JOURNEY IN CLAY is a monologue written and performed by Wayne Harris.

In a series of loosely connected scenes, Wayne revisits his first encounters with pottery before joining Mouse Ceramic Studio four years ago.

He makes clay heads and vases with faces.

In conjunction with Leather Hard, Mouse Ceramic Studio will present a selection of Wayne's recent face vases in our gallery window titled "Everyday People."

What to Expect

Mouse Ceramic Studio is opening the Annex backyard for this special event. This is not a typical performance venue so there's no box office, no ushers, and the seats are rented folding chairs.

Wayne has written an original piece that he'll read from his notes. The emphasis is more on telling his fascinating story and not on performance.

The reading will be approximately one hour. We'll have a 15 minute talkback so that our community can share feedback and ask questions.

Refreshments come with the price of your ticket.
