This is a beginner wheel class. Join Allie Friday nights! Students will learn essential techniques including coning and centering clay, opening forms, pulling walls, shaping pieces, trimming, decorating, and glazing. By the end of the session, you’ll have created your own handmade pottery and gained confidence working on the wheel.

We will send notification when it is time to purchase clay for the upcoming session. Please do not purchase more than one bag to start. There will not be enough room on your shelf for more than one bag. Your clay will be at the studio on your first day of class. All clays except sculpture (420) and terra cotta (108) are appropriate for wheel work. Tools are not included, you can purchase tool kits on the website or bring your own.

Class meets Fridays at 7pm on the following dates:
July 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st, August 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th

Each student will get up to two 2.5 hour time slots of open studio each week.

Refunds requested more than two weeks prior to the first class are fully refundable however there will be a $25 processing fee. There will be no refunds within two weeks of the first class but you can get a credit towards another class. There will be no credits once the class begins in any circumstance, nor can we transfer you to a later semester. We cannot be flexible on this policy for any reason.
